General Description
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Security Specialist to protect and support our organization’s technology environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture while also providing network and end-user support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment supporting business operations, live events, and critical systems where uptime, security, and responsiveness are essential.
Cybersecurity (Primary)
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and respond to security threats, alerts, and incidents
- Administer security tools (endpoint protection, firewalls, MFA, identity access)
- Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation efforts
- Support incident response, investigations, and documentation
- Maintain security policies, standards, and compliance requirements
- Manage user access and enforce security best practices
- Deliver security awareness and training initiatives
- Support network operations including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Assist with VLANs, segmentation, and secure network design
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
- Support infrastructure upgrades and maintain documentation
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated issues
- Support laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding and access provisioning
- Participate in game-day/event support and on-call rotation
- On-site role with occasional evenings, weekends, and event support
- Participation in on-call rotation for critical incidents

- High attention to detail and commitment to security best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience in IT security, networking, or systems support
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls) and Microsoft environments (M365, Azure AD)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, wireless)
- Relevant certifications preferred (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCNA)
- The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle, or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
- The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
- The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
- The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
