Job Purpose

The role is accountable for two key engineering and leadership objectives:

1. One as head of engineering for NR factory to drive engineering best practices and innovations for the NR factory setup at the enterprise level

1. Two since NR factory is an anchor program at the new Guwahati factory; this role involves playing the key leadership role is setting up a local cross-program engineering unit Guwahati handholding a large team of campus graduates and some laterals

Role:

• Setup engineering capabilities from ground up including but not limited to Full Stack Engineering, GenAI, Cloud Technologies and DevSecOps
• Help Transform NR Business by implementing industry best solutions in a factory model to engineer new platforms, and reusable assets while driving efficiency and quality
• Design complex software systems for high-end solutions independently and determine overall architectural principles, frameworks and standards
• Optimize Path to Production and maintain engineering best practices such as test-driven development and continuous integration and delivery
• Hire, train and mentor engineering teams in a new factory setup in Guwahati
• Setup the right capabilities as part of the organization strategy enabling us to minimize the touch points and drive more end-to-end accountability in the Guwahati factory
• Guide the teams on program engineering and ensure evidence-based continuous improvement of value, flow, and quality-focused on delivering value to end-customers early and often
• Establish an engineering maturity model and architecture principles to drive better tech/engineering governance for the work being done out of the Guwahati Factory
