Digital Assets Strategist - Director - Europe – London Based (or European Locations if needed)

A global investment firm, covering a diverse set of asset classes and business sectors is looking for a Digital Assets Strategist - Director, to sit within the Global Digital Assets Team, with particular focus on building out and further developing its digital assets and tokenisation capabilities.

The firm has global reach, with clients ranging from sovereign wealth funds, institutional/corporate clients to wealth managers and high net worths.

Responsibilities

• As an integral member of the Distribution teams, works in collaboration with the sales team to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Digital Assets sales plans. You will drive net sales into the Digital Assets Product Range for global products, in the European region, across crypto ETFs/ETPs and tokenised funds.
• Take on a central role in building out the product positioning, market and competitor intelligence as well as our marketing approach and distribution strategy in Europe.
• Define insights into how digital assets capabilities are positioned with institutional, intermediary and professional investors
• A key aspect of the role is contributing to the creation of high-quality thought leadership and client-facing content on digital assets. You will support and help develop articles, insights, thematic pieces. This requires maintaining a deep understanding of the crypto and tokenisation landscape.
• You will proactively monitor the digital assets markets to ensure messaging is timely, relevant, and aligned with the needs of our clients.
• Managing client strategy and focus, executing on the distribution plan and go to market strategy of new products.
• You will be the firms primary representative for their Digital Assets capability in Europe and responsible for driving and further developing this strategic positioning. You will be involved in the writing of thought leadership pieces on digital assets as well as regular communication for clients.
• Support the development and execution the firms digital assets strategy, identifying business opportunity, launching investment strategy and proposition, integrating solution design to existing capabilities and enhancing the firms credentials in digital assets.
• Working with marketing, you will develop the right marketing approach to contribute to the growth of the digital assets products.
• Supporting the growth of tokenised funds, you will be owning the clients’ relationships within the web3 ecosystem in this new and evolving space.
• Develop a global brand in this space

Requirements

• Significant experience in and understanding of the Digital Assets business and willingness to proactively expand expertise
• Proven ability to be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a hands-on mentality
• Proven experience to lead highly complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders
• Proven ability to build successful external and internal relationships and manage stakeholders up to board level
• Experience of mobilising, structuring and generating momentum
• Ability to deal successfully with ambiguity and draw out the issues to be addressed
• Organised with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Degree level education is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Investment professional qualification i.e. CFA, CAIA, ESG, crypto and blockchain related credentials is a plus
• Proficiency in other European languages is an asset for the role
