We’re partnering with one of Big Wave Digital’s standout clients, a high-growth, product-led tech business operating in the iGaming space 🎮🐋. This is an environment where systems are live, users are active in real time, and performance is not optional.

Think high concurrency, real-time transactions, and front end systems that need to be fast, accurate and resilient under pressure 🚀🎮

This is not Mickey Mouse coding. This is solving complex computer challenges where milliseconds matter and engineering quality directly impacts user experience and revenue 🐋

The Role

You’ll join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling modern front end applications that sit at the core of the product experience.

This role goes beyond UI. It sits at the intersection of performance engineering, real-time data handling, and scalable architecture.

You will be:

Designing and building high performance front end applications using Next.js, React.js and TypeScript

Working closely with back end engineers using Node.js to deliver end-to-end features across the stack

Developing real-time interfaces that handle dynamic data, rapid updates and high user interaction volumes 🎮

Driving performance optimisation across rendering, load times, state management and API interactions

Contributing to front end architecture, component libraries and engineering standards

Collaborating with product, design and engineering teams to deliver clean, scalable solutions

Solving complex engineering challenges across performance, scalability and reliability 🐋

CI/CD, DevOps and Engineering Practices

Working within modern CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable and repeatable deployments

Contributing to automated build, test and deployment processes

Supporting a strong engineering culture around code reviews, testing and continuous improvement

Working with version control, branching strategies and release management processes

Exposure to cloud-based environments and modern deployment tooling 🚀

The Tech Environment

Deep experience with React.js, Next.js and TypeScript

Strong understanding of Node.js and API-driven architectures

Experience building scalable, high performance web applications in production environments

Solid knowledge of front end performance optimisation techniques and rendering strategies

Experience with state management, API integration and modular component design

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks and modern DevOps practices

Comfortable working in fast-moving, agile product environments

The Domain

Experience in iGaming, gaming 🎮, fintech, trading platforms or other real-time, high-throughput environments is highly regarded

You understand what it means to build systems where uptime, speed and accuracy are critical 🐰

Language Requirement

Mandarin Chinese language skills are essential due to close collaboration with offshore engineering and product teams

Education

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is required
