This job is about…

As part of our innovation center, you will co-own the product vision, playing a key role beyond implementation. You’ll be embedded in a cross-functional team of domain experts and innovators, working on self-driven initiatives with the freedom and responsibility to shape ideas from concept to launch.

Your mission is to engineer and code future-oriented solutions that harness the potential of AI, cloud-native infrastructure, and user-centric design to create real business impact. With short feedback loops, a culture of continuous learning, and a modern tech stack, you’ll have all the tools to sharpen your skills and bring ideas to life, sprint by sprint.

Your daily business…

• Collaborate with product owners and team members to ideate, plan, and implement new features for our AI product line.
• Clarify and document business rules, user workflows, and story acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team.
• Translate Figma designs and UX specifications into responsive, accessible UI components.
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to a shared component library.
• Define or refine API contracts with backend developers; test endpoints using appropriate tools.
• Integrate frontend logic with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), loading and aggregating data, handling error states, and data validation.
• Ensure applications meet non-functional requirements (performance, stability, accessibility, WCAG compliance).
• Write unit tests and support E2E testing; troubleshoot and fix bugs or edge cases identified during QA.
• Share knowledge and insights with peers; contribute to our culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Drive technical excellence by influencing architecture decisions and roadmap discussions.
• Creativity and interest in contributing to products and ideas.

Your skills…

• Strong experience in more than one frontend framework preferably Svelte, React, and Angular
• Solid JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge
• Proficient in CSS, including responsive design, animations, and scalable styling patterns
• Proficient in API integration (REST and/or GraphQL), encompassing proper error handling, authentication mechanisms, and the establishment of reliable data flows.
• Experienced in optimizing frontend performance, including profiling, lazy loading, code splitting, asset optimization, and Core Web Vitals tuning.
• Confident in end-to-end debugging and troubleshooting of frontend apps, from local development to deployment, including logging, analyzing network issues, and environment-specific behavior
• Proficient with Git, including feature-branch based workflows, rebasing, cherry-picking, and resolving merge conflicts in collaborative environments
• A strong sense for user experience, accessibility, and interface design, with a desire to ship intuitive, pixel-perfect features
• Interest in applying AI tools or services in software development—whether to enhance code quality, support decision-making, or build AI-powered features
• Eager to learn and explore emerging frontend technologies, actively contributing to a collaborative, cross-functional engineering culture

Furthermore, familiarity with teams embracing true DevOps practices is desirable. Consequently, encountering the following concepts should not be a source of apprehension.

• Frontend build tools and packaging
• Frontend apps serving in cloud-native environments
• Containerization of frontend applications as Docker images, and deploying them to GCP using GKE/Kubernetes
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including writing and maintaining jobs for building, testing, and deploying frontend applications

Based on the Austrian Collective Agreement, we offer an annual salary of min. EUR 55.000,- (fulltime). Depending on your qualification and experience, we are happy to offer a compensation package above the standard range.
