🎯 Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Back-end Engineer to support complex, integration-heavy IT programs within a highly regulated financial and institutional context.

This role focuses on designing and delivering robust, scalable back-end services across distributed systems, combining strong engineering discipline with autonomous delivery capability.

You will contribute to service design, test automation frameworks, and continuous improvement, while collaborating with international stakeholders in a demanding environment.

⚙️ Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality Java / Spring Boot microservices in a distributed financial IT landscape

• Develop and maintain automated test suites using TDD methodologies and Cucumber-based BDD frameworks

• Implement and manage integrations across web services (REST, SOAP, WSS/WS-Security) and enterprise messaging systems

• Contribute to architecture decisions in event-driven, integration-heavy system designs

• Ensure clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with scalability and compliance requirements

• Collaborate with international delivery teams, business analysts, and IT stakeholders

• Participate in code reviews, technical refinements, and continuous improvement of delivery practices

🧠 Required Skills

Critical

• 5+ years of experience in Java back-end development

• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and distributed systems architecture

Mandatory

• Proven experience in test automation frameworks and TDD (Cucumber / JUnit)

• Solid background in web services (WSS) and system integration technologies

• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies (Apache Kafka, IBM MQ)

• Experience delivering in financial or complex regulated IT environments

• Fluent in English (C1+)

Additional requirements

• Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder, event-driven environments

• Strong clean code and service governance mindset

• Ability to contribute to technical roadmap and long-term service evolution
