Fujitsu is looking for an experienced Tech Lead Java to join a strategic project delivered for a European Institution in Brussels. The role involves leading back-end development in a modern AWS-based environment, working with cutting-edge tools including KIRO (agentic AI-powered IDE).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop back-end web applications in an AWS environment using modern development tools.
• Integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
• Implement core business logic and application functionality.
• Design and develop APIs (REST / SOAP).
• Create and manage servers, databases, and data storage solutions.
• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability.
• Design and develop scalable microservice-based solutions.
• Lead development activities and support project delivery.
• Maintain clean, structured, and high-quality code.
• Perform integration testing and troubleshooting.
• Analyze processes, data, and code to identify improvements.
• Fix bugs and resolve technical issues.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure alignment between technical solutions and user needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Excellent knowledge of Java, JEE
• Strong experience with REST or SOAP APIs
• Solid knowledge of HTTP and API design
• Experience with Angular
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Experience with asynchronous communication technologies:
• JMS
• Kafka
• Strong knowledge of integration testing best practices
• Good understanding of the full web development lifecycle
• Experience working in large enterprise multi-team environments
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Ability to work in an international / multicultural environment
• Experience in reporting and project follow-up
• Participation in open-source projects is a plus
