Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Location: Canary Wharf (4 Days in the office/ 1 from home)

Contract Length: 12 Months

Industry: Oil and Energy, Tech, Trading

Working Hours: 8 per day/40 per week

Role Overview:

This role is required for bp’s Trading unit in UK where the person will be working as part of a large program aiming to deliver advanced Data & AI technology solutions to the front office.


What you will have:

  • STEM Degree
  • Design, build, and operate cloud native software platforms to deploy and scale chatbot solutions, using Python, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes on Azure and/or AWS.
  • Implement production grade engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, security, authentication, monitoring, and cost efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate LLM-backed services into reliable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
