Your new role

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, this Non‑IT Project Manager role provides end to end project management services to energy safe business owners. You will manage multiple projects at any given time, including incident response and regulation driven initiatives, while also contributing to the ongoing uplift of enterprise project management maturity.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering projects end‑to‑end within agreed scope, budget ($3-4M portfolios), schedule and quality parameters.
  • Supporting strategy mobilisation by translating regulatory and organisational priorities into executable projects.
  • Applying and uplifting the organisation's project management framework
  • Providing clear, high‑quality reporting to support governance, decision‑making and regulatory compliance.
  • Actively managing risks, issues, dependencies and trade‑offs in a reporting‑heavy environment.
  • Partnering closely with business owners, subject matter experts and delivery teams to ensure outcomes are achieved.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of PMO practices, frameworks and ways of working.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be a confident, analytical and outcomes‑focused Project Manager with:
  • Proven experience managing multiple, concurrent Non‑IT projects in complex environments.
  • A strong PMO mindset and a service‑oriented approach to supporting business owners.
  • Demonstrated experience working in government or regulated environments (highly regarded).
  • Excellent planning, reporting, risk and issue management capability.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect project delivery to organisational outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and written communication skills.
  • Comfort operating autonomously and making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Certification in PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile methodologies or relevant project management accreditation.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in business, project management or business analysis.
This role suits someone comfortable working independently, under pressure, with strong judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a regulatory setting.
