Application/Cloud Architect

We are looking for an Application/Cloud Architect for a long-term project at an EU Institution in Brussels (50% onsite).

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop CI/CD pipelines, IAC

• Analysis of the integration of different information systems.

• Data analysis and data modelling.

• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.

• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.

• Production of software architecture documents.

• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.

• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.

• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.

• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.

• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

• Development and enhancement of architecture

• Assistance with the implementation of the architecture

• Analysis of information systems portfolio

• Analysis of enterprise business processes

• Corporate Data flow analysis

• Define back-end and front-end development guidelines (how to build a service, how to integration with other applications, …)

• Architecture and design of information systems

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Knowledge of Wildfly, Postgres, docker,

• Bash, webservices SOAP and REST, spring boot

• Back-end: Knowledge of Java, python

• Front-end: Angular

• DevOps: AWS CDK and other Amazon services such as S3, IAM, cloudfront, ECR, EFS, RDS, CodeBuild, Code Pipeline, CodeCommit…

• Ability to give business and technical presentations

• Ability to apply high quality standards

• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies

• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

• Analysis and problem solving skills

• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents

• Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills

CERTIFICATIONS & STANDARDS:

• AWS Architect or Developer certification will be considered as a strong advantage

EU Citizenship is required for security clearance.
