Interaction is great and the more the merrier, but only if there’s a back-end that can support snappy interactions and low-latency streaming for millions of viewers spread across the globe. This is where you come in.

As a senior Back-end Developer it’s up to you to take the lead in designing and developing the highly-available, highly-performant en (near) infinitely-scalable back end. From translating new features and roadmap items into back-end tickets and taking care of both design and development, to ensuring everything is well structured and documented. Of course, you won’t be working alone. You’ll be part of a diverse team of experienced software engineers across a range of disciplines - all focused on providing massive audiences with unforgettable experiences.

That’s my jam, but what about the tech stack?

We like telling stories, but some things work better as a list, so here goes:

• Java 21 with Spring Boot
• MongoDB
• AWS
• and a suite of modern CI/CD tools
• Lots of performance tuning and working with highly concurrent code

Experience is a relative concept, but we expect you’ll need at least 5 years of experience to take on this challenge. Do you feel you can do it with less? And no, unfortunately, regularly bingeing tv shows or following a few streamers doesn’t count.
