• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing Data Governance/Management in large-scale organizations; experience in AI Governance is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in defining requirements and roadmaps, and managing stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
• Familiarity with Data & AI Governance principles, processes, and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong SQL knowledge; experience with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is a plus.

If the requirements are met, then your job description is below;

• Contribute to the definition, review, update, and roll-out of the Data & AI Governance framework and related standards and guidelines, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (7545 Siber Güvenlik Kanunu and 6698 Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu) as well as business needs.
• Play an active role in co-creating governance processes with other departments involved in Data & AI Governance.
• Design and implement a robust data ownership framework.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and integrity in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data ownership, data lineage, and data classification.
• Collaborate with the Data Warehouse (DWH) team to manage the data catalog and ensure the accuracy of metadata.
• Assess data governance maturity using established models (e.g., CMMI DMM, internal data maturity models).
• Support data discovery and governance initiatives across the organization.
• Implement data quality initiatives and establish data quality metrics and KPIs.
• Provide guidance and training to teams on data governance best practices.
• Work with data architecture and engineering teams to support data governance activities.
• Review and interpret data models to ensure alignment with data governance requirements.
• Deliver training sessions to increase organizational awareness of data governance.
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead or participate in data-related audits and risk assessments to ensure data security and privacy.
• Act as a subject matter expert for data governance during system implementations, migrations, or integrations.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data governance, AI governance, and relevant regulations, and propose improvements accordingly.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and meetings to drive data governance initiatives and foster a data-driven culture.
• Support the development and execution of change management strategies for data governance programs.
• Manage data shared with business partners to ensure compliance with data governance standards and contractual obligations. Perform third-party audits to assess the effectiveness of data handling practices and verify adherence to privacy and security requirements.
