About The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Front End Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining sophisticated front-end applications that are integral to critical infrastructure systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, backend developers, and end-users, to create high-performance, accessible, and user-centric solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that have a tangible impact on national security and public safety, utilizing modern web technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in JavaScript, with extensive experience in modern frameworks and libraries. A solid understanding of DOM manipulation, CSS, form validation, and ARIA accessibility standards is essential. Familiarity with bundlers such as Webpack or Rollup, along with experience in environment configuration, is required. Candidates should have practical knowledge of Node.js, API integration, and JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest or Jasmine. Experience working within Agile teams and applying DevOps practices is highly desirable. A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and data structures is necessary. Proficiency in Git and branching strategies for continuous delivery is also important. Candidates must either hold current security clearance or be eligible to obtain it. Desirable additional skills include TypeScript, responsive/mobile development, automation testing tools such as Cypress or Selenium, and experience with end-to-end front-end architectures.

Responsibilities

As a Front End Developer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing innovative front-end applications that meet user requirements and technical standards.
• Collaborating with UX designers to build accessible, user-focused interfaces that are performant across devices.
• Participating in the full project lifecycle, from research and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
• Implementing best practices in testing, secure coding, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Experimenting with new technologies and contributing to architectural decisions to enhance system capabilities.
• Working closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Maintaining code quality through version control, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
