Backend Engineer — Amsterdam e-mobility startup
Drivers still fumble with apps that don't work, payments that fail, and chargers that just sit there.
It's 2026, and plugging in your car is still a lottery.
A small Amsterdam team has been fixing that since 2020. Bootstrapped to real traction. Four markets. Tens of thousands of users. 4+ App Store rating. The founders built charging software before this; they knew exactly what was wrong and decided to do something about it.
It's a good product. People actually like using it.
They're hiring a Backend Engineer. C#, .NET Core, Azure. But the job isn't really about the stack.
It's a product engineering role. You'll be close to decisions, not downstream of them. Talking to customers, shaping what gets built, caring about whether it lands.
Tools;
Strong C# and .NET Core. Production API experience. Solid on testing and CI/CD. Someone who takes ownership without being asked.
Azure helps. Startup background helps. Years of experience, less so.
€60,000 – €80,000 + equity. Office in central Amsterdam. Early stage. Deliberately.
