Cloud Operations Lead

We are looking for a Cloud & Security Operations Manager to drive cloud governance, security oversight, operational excellence, and project delivery across a growing IT landscape. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen control over cloud environments, streamline infrastructure operations, and lead strategic transformation initiatives.

The role sits at the intersection of Azure cloud management, DevOps practices, security governance, and operations project management, ensuring stability, compliance, and cost efficiency across the organisation’s digital ecosystem.

You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and external partners to coordinate a deep roadmap of IT changes while maintaining high standards of performance, security, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cloud governance across Azure environments, including configuration standards, cost management, and security posture.
• Oversee IT operations and ensure SLA compliance across infrastructure and security services.
• Coordinate the delivery of cloud, security, and infrastructure projects with internal teams and external vendors.
• Support DevOps practices by promoting automation, stability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security functions to ensure resilient, scalable, and compliant systems.
• Implement governance controls to prevent misconfiguration, unexpected cloud spend, and operational risk.
• Maintain oversight of vendors and challenge technical proposals when needed.
• Drive operational documentation, reporting, and continuous service improvement.

Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years in IT operations, cloud management, or security governance
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (governance, administration, cost optimisation)
• Solid understanding of IT security principles and cloud security best practices
• Experience coordinating technical projects (Agile or hybrid methodologies)
• Good exposure to DevOps tools and automation concepts
• Familiarity with ITIL and service delivery processes
