Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Technical Project Manager to join our delivery organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent project management skills, enabling them to effectively coordinate complex initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

The Technical Program Manager will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires both strategic insight and hands-on involvement in day-to-day program planning, technical discussions, and execution oversight.



Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

  • Plan, manage, and deliver technical projects end-to-end, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are applied.
  • Must have experience working with architectural frameworks or enterprise delivery methodologies (SAFe).



Technical Leadership & Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with architects, technical leads, and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with technical standards and business objectives.
  • Participate in technical discussions to support decision-making, clarify requirements, and ensure feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure documentation, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria are complete and accurately maintained.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project.
  • Translate technical topics into business-friendly language and ensure business needs are clearly communicated to engineering teams.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders through structured reporting and status reviews.

Quality, Compliance & Process Governance

  • Ensure adherence to organizational delivery frameworks, quality standards, and compliance processes.
  • Support implementation of secure coding practices, architectural guidelines, and technical quality gates.
  • Promote continuous improvement across teams through process optimization and best-practice adoption.
  • Experience working with the PMO

Team Coordination & Knowledge Transfer

  • Foster collaboration across geographically distributed teams, ensuring seamless communication and delivery continuity.
  • Encourage a culture of ownership, accountability, and transparent communication.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, including 4+ years in a Technical Program Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, system architecture fundamentals, and cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional engineering teams on large-scale or multi-component projects.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, resolve conflicts, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, etc.)
  • Experience coordinating testing streams (functional, NFT, automation) and release management.



Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Banking, Payments, or Financial Services industry.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, microservices, and cloud-native ecosystems.
