AWS Engineer
Contract until 31 July 2026 (extensions likely)
Location: Canberra or Melbourne (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Clearance: Baseline required

Overview:
We're looking for an experienced AWS Engineer to support the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions in a government environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build AWS application components and Infrastructure as Code based on approved designs
  • Deliver low-level designs across integrations, data services, and dashboards
  • Develop, test, and deploy code across multiple environments (Dev to Production)
  • Perform unit testing to ensure quality and reliability
  • Work closely with DevOps for deployment and integration
  • Configure security, firewall rules, and monitoring (CloudWatch)
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies
  • Maintain clear technical documentation

Requirements:

  • Strong AWS engineering experience
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working across multiple environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and monitoring
  • Ability to work in a structured, government environment
  • Baseline clearance (mandatory)
