About the role

A household name here in Australia are seeking a passionate Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis and be capable of working on a 24x7 shift pattern

This is a permanent role that will require hybrid working from their Sydney Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing operations and administration of networking and security equipment
  • Responsible for both monitoring, analysis and incident response for network and security related incidents
  • Contributing to measuring and recommending ways to improve network performance and health
  • Utilise advanced network skills to perform both incident and change management



Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco routing and switching - CCNA is nice to have
  • Good knowledge of firewall vendors such as Fortinet and Checkpoint
  • Understanding of Network Management Systems
  • Previously worked with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Elk
  • Experienced with network protocols such as, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • 2+ years' worth of relevant experience
