Python Developer - Hybrid

Massive Bio is a rapidly growing health-tech startup founded in 2015 to provide every cancer patient with access to clinical trials regardless of their location or financial stability. Our proprietary patient recruitment and enrollment enablement solution for oncology clinical trials solves every point of friction in traditional clinical trial enrollment. Privately held and headquartered in NY City, our passionate changemaker team is looking for a Python Developer working out of our Istanbul office in the Product Development Team.

Reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will:

Collaborate with engineering teams to develop an understanding of software product requirements and technical specifications
Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis
Communicate findings to the AI and Product Development teams
Enable smarter business processes by using analytics for meaningful insights
Serve as data strategist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our platform and work closely with Product Development team members throughout development
Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs and collect large structured and unstructured datasets for model development
Design and implement algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
Analyze data for trends and patterns and interpret data with clear objectives in mind
Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers and machine-learning engineers

Candidate Profile:

3+ years of software development experience with Python knowledge
Experience in fine-tuning large language models (LLM), optimizing performance, deploying scalable solutions, and integrating advanced NLP and NLU techniques into production systems
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline
Experience in Python API development with known frameworks
Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
Experience in prompt engineering
Proficiency in SQL and Python, as well as a strong understanding of the core language and major frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Solid knowledge of Git for version control and Linux for development environments
Proven results influencing stakeholders and demonstrating results
Ability to translate complex problems and ideas into easily understood descriptions
Ability to work independently, self-starter, can-do attitude, multitask, and prioritize
Advanced speaking proficiency in English to be part of international calls when needed
Work location is Kozyatagi, Istanbul; at least 2/3 days a week at the office
No military obligations
