We are looking for a "Global E-Commerce Director" for our client, who is a global leader in the automotive accessories industry. With a strong international presence, they offer a diverse range of high-quality products and innovative solutions.
Client Location: Bursa, Turkey (Headquarters), with global operations in Texas (USA), Bochum (Germany), and Paris (France)
About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a prominent multinational company specializing in high-performance aftermarket automotive accessories, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Global E-Commerce Director.
The company is one of the fastest-growing international e-commerce-based aftermarket automotive accessories retail brands. Its top-rated e-commerce platforms include its own.
Shopify stores, as well as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Kaufland, and C-Discount, operating across the USA, Germany, and France.
With a team of 120–150 employees worldwide and operations in four countries, our client is a recognized leader in retail and e-commerce, providing an exciting opportunity to shape the future of their digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global e-commerce strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Achieve sales and profit targets for each country by leading internal sales and marketing teams (up to 20 direct team members) and managing 3rd-party sales, marketing, and IT service providers across the USA, Germany, France, and Turkey, with daily, weekly, and monthly follow-ups.
- Play a key role in brand positioning and global expansion efforts.
- Optimize online sales platforms to maximize traffic, conversion rates, and revenue.
- Leverage data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and improve performance metrics.
- Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
- Stay ahead of trends in automotive e-commerce and consumer behavior to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
- A bachelor's degree from a leading institution in Turkey or internationally recognized university.
- Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or a master’s degree from an internationally renowned institution are strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Over 10 years in senior e-commerce or retail roles within globally recognized organizations.
- Familiarity with ORACLE NetSuite software, used by the company for WMS, e-commerce processes, and reporting, is a plus. Experience with similar software is also beneficial.
- Demonstrated success in managing multicultural and geographically dispersed teams.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Native-level fluency in English.
- Advanced proficiency in German and/or French is required.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to develop high-performing teams and create a culture of excellence.
