We are building an AI backend platform for application developers. It’s a unified AI platform for developers, featuring a drag-and-drop workflow engine that allows users to combine and run AI models integrated into applications using Each’s SDK.

About the Role
We are looking for a Founding Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale our platform's core infrastructure. As an early team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of our product, engineering culture, and long-term vision.
You’ll work closely with the founding team to:
- Build scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems.
- Architect APIs and databases to support the needs of complex AI workflows.
- Collaborate on AI model integration pipelines and workflow orchestration systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Led the development of scalable systems to manage AI workflow execution and model integrations.
- Ensure the platform’s reliability, security, and performance at scale.
- Work with AI/ML engineers to deploy and optimize AI models and pipelines.
- Participate in key product and architectural decisions.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 4+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python or Golang.
- Experience with designing and managing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL solutions.
- A passion for AI and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Bonus:
- Experience building developer-focused platforms or tools.
- You’re an early builder or an ex-founder of a DevTool startup.
- A new grad with a bunch of DevTool and AI projects under your belt on GitHub.
- Knowledge of LLMs, vision models, and AI/ML deployment workflows.
