R&D Development Manager

We are looking for a professional who can lead technical product development and take ownership of the entire development process – from concept to serial production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage product and technology research and development projects
• Oversee the product life cycle from a technical perspective: concept, research, development, testing, certification, intellectual property protection, industrialization, product support, modifications, and discontinuation
• Take ownership of development timelines, costs, and quality outcomes
• Establish and maintain a clear and efficient product development process
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, production, procurement, quality, and marketing teams
• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers when required

Requirements

• Experience in technical product development or leading an engineering team within a manufacturing company
• Strong understanding of product design, manufacturing, and industrialization processes
• Results-oriented and proactive mindset
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to continuously learn and improve
• Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for outcomes
• Higher education in engineering or a related technical field
• Excellent Latvian and English language skills
