Systems Administrator/SysOps Engineer (Fintech)

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Configuration Management & Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure using Puppet or Chef. Drive "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) practices to ensure consistency across environments.
• Systems Architecture: Apply core architectural principles (high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability) to maintain and improve our server landscape.
• Network & Identity Management: Manage and troubleshoot Network configurations (VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls) and maintain Active Directory environments, including Group Policy management and identity lifecycle.
• Monitoring & Observability: Oversee monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios) and perform deep-dive log analysis to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Data Integrity: Manage Backup and Recovery strategies to ensure zero data loss. Provide baseline support for Databases (SQL/NoSQL) including performance tuning and health checks.
• Integration & Collaboration: Participate in integration processes
• On-Call Shifts: Incidents handling and resolving. Participations in pre-scheduled OPS and business deployments.

Soft Skills & Qualifications:

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to parse complex logs and identify root causes in distributed systems.
• Adaptability: Comfortable participating in the "integration process," shifting between hardware-level troubleshooting and high-level software integration.
• Communication: Clear documentation skills for architectural diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Excellent command of Latvian and English (English is necessary for daily communication with colleagues in other countries).
• Crisis Management: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-tier environments under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
• Experience: 3+ years in a SysOps, Systems Administration, or Site Reliability role.
