Role Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a 6–9 month freelance contract, focusing on manual testing of a modern e-commerce platform.

This role is suited for someone who is not just executing test cases but actively thinking about system behavior, data flows, and edge cases, and can work closely with developers and automation engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Execute manual testing across the e-commerce platform, covering user flows, edge cases, and data-driven scenarios.
• Use browser dev tools (Network, Console) to analyze issues, validate API calls, and understand system behavior.
• Maintain and extend smoke-test checklists and clear test documentation.
• Review acceptance criteria and contribute to improving testability and quality.
• Test integrations (Algolia, Uniform CMS, Salesforce) to validate complex flows (roles, data, content).
• Support releases by verifying bug fixes and ensuring readiness.
• Collaborate with developers and a Test Automation Engineer to ensure solid test coverage.

Skills & experience we are looking for:

• Strong experience in manual web testing for modern React / Next.js applications.
• Confident use of browser developer tools (Network, Console) to debug issues and validate API responses.
• Solid understanding of responsive UI behavior, component states, and design systems.
• Experience working with CMS-driven environments (content models, data validation, frontend rendering logic).

Nice to have:

• Experience with Salesforce (workflows, user permissions, B2B logic).
• API testing experience (e.g., Postman).
• Familiarity with search-driven platforms (e.g., Algolia or similar).

Working Model

• Work closely with the Test Automation Engineer to ensure manual and automated activities align, without owning the automation framework.
• Collaborate with developers and PMs during daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, and release readiness discussions.
• Take part in testing bug-fix tickets, release candidates, and features waiting for QA sign-off.
• Be available during core working hours for quick clarifications and walkthroughs.

Expectations

• Provide detailed, accurate bug reports with clear evidence and reproduction steps.
• Participate actively in standups, sprint ceremonies, and release preparation meetings.
• Maintain consistent, up-to-date test documentation and smoke-test scenarios.
• Deliver timely feedback during feature development and regression cycles.
• Apply high-quality standards when validating functionality, usability, and data flow correctness.

• Please note that we are currently considering applications from candidates based in Lithuania only. 
• Relocation support is not available for this position.

Preliminary salary ranges (before taxes)*: from 3300 Euro

*Will be agreed with each candidate depending on level, role, knowledge, experience, and capabilities.
