Test Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer who will join a client in Luxembourg.

Objectives of the Assignment

The consultant will be assigned to various tasks:

• Providing front-line support to and solving end-users’ issues.

• Testing the applications, incl. business testing for new releases.

• Gathering and structuring business requirements for small projects.

Tasks to be performed

The successful achievement of the objectives of the Assignment involves the following tasks:

• Management of the implementation of projects and individual (maintenance) tickets

• Analysis and documentation of existing business rules implemented into the Front Office Lending Application

• Analysis and documentation of user requirements for new IT developments and if applicable the underlying reporting requirements

• Creation of the required project documentation (business case, planning, detailed requirements, test case document, etc.)

• Software testing of the Front Office Lending Application and the impacted downstream systems

• Provide front-line support to and solve end-users’ issues

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering (or a related field), project management, general business management, or other relevant field. In the absence of a Bachelor/Master degree in the relevant field, demonstrated equivalent professional experience of at least 7 years can be accepted.

• Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience in financial services institutions, insurance undertaking or equivalent institution.

• Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects.

• Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools (e.g., Jira).

• Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaboration skills and ability to work in a team.

• Experience in providing front-line support to end-users in a banking institution.

• Experience designing and implementing test plans.

• Experience with functional testing and writing test automation scripts.

Work arrangement: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote per week.
