Junior Data Engineer

Your Role

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining a state-of-the-art Data Lake platform. This platform processes millions of records and supports critical, time-sensitive applications through real-time, batch, and streaming data integrations.

You will contribute to delivering high-quality data solutions that enable innovation and help create a seamless and secure digital experience for end users.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement data pipelines and streaming integrations
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and apply necessary transformations
  • Deliver reliable data to downstream systems
  • Work with modern technologies such as:
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
  • Databricks
  • Apache Kafka
  • Build and maintain solutions in a cloud-based environment (Azure)
  • Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum DevOps team
  • Take ownership of development, deployment, and maintenance of data solutions


Your Profile

You are passionate about data engineering and feel at home in a technical environment. You stay up to date with the latest technologies and enjoy learning from others while contributing your own ideas.

Must-have skills

  • 1–2 years of experience with:
  • PySpark and Databricks
  • Python and SQL
  • ADLS Gen2 or similar storage solutions

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of data architecture concepts:
  • Data governance, data quality, data lineage, and retention
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS is a plus)
  • Familiarity with:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Databricks Workflows
  • Apache Airflow
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines)

Soft skills

  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Team player with a willingness to collaborate and learn
