Junior Data Engineer

Your Role
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining a state-of-the-art Data Lake platform. This platform processes millions of records and supports critical, time-sensitive applications through real-time, batch, and streaming data integrations.
You will contribute to delivering high-quality data solutions that enable innovation and help create a seamless and secure digital experience for end users.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement data pipelines and streaming integrations
- Integrate data from multiple sources and apply necessary transformations
- Deliver reliable data to downstream systems
- Work with modern technologies such as:
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Databricks
- Apache Kafka
- Build and maintain solutions in a cloud-based environment (Azure)
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum DevOps team
- Take ownership of development, deployment, and maintenance of data solutions
Your Profile
You are passionate about data engineering and feel at home in a technical environment. You stay up to date with the latest technologies and enjoy learning from others while contributing your own ideas.
Must-have skills
- 1–2 years of experience with:
- PySpark and Databricks
- Python and SQL
- ADLS Gen2 or similar storage solutions
Nice to have
- Knowledge of data architecture concepts:
- Data governance, data quality, data lineage, and retention
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS is a plus)
- Familiarity with:
- Azure Data Factory
- Databricks Workflows
- Apache Airflow
- Experience with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines)
Soft skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset
- Team player with a willingness to collaborate and learn
