Senior Java Developer (Contract → Permanent Opportunity)

Location: Madrid

Rate: up to €350 per day

Contract Length: Initial 3 month - then transition to permanent

We're partnering with a global technology and data-driven organisation that is transforming how digital platforms operate at scale across international markets.

They are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join on an initial 3-month contract (autonomo), with a strong opportunity to transition into a permanent role.

💻 The Role

As a Senior Java Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive engineering best practices.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

• Leading development of scalable Java-based applications
• Designing and implementing complex features across distributed systems
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and DevOps teams
• Mentoring junior developers and supporting team growth
• Conducting code reviews and promoting best practices
• Troubleshooting and optimising existing systems
• Staying current with emerging technologies and trends

✅ What We're Looking For

• ~6+ years' experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL)
• Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience with Git, Maven (or similar tools)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and communication skills
