T&DS - Junior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in deploying Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively within a team and support senior team members.

This is a permanent role reporting to the Head of Digital Workplace & Cloud Platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure using IaC tools such as ARM templates or Bicep.
• Support the architecture of scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on Azure.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications and infrastructure.
• Learn from and assist senior DevOps engineers, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Help implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
• Monitor system performance and assist in ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic infrastructure and application issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Some experience in deploying Azure resources using IaC.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts and technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the DevOps field.
• Certifications: AZ-900 & AZ-104.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor or Log Analytics.
• Familiarity with security best practices for cloud environments.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams is a plus.
