Game Developer – Mobile Tank Demo

This role is focused on building a concise, high-impact mobile game prototype for Android. The project centers on developing a 60-second vertical slice that demonstrates core gameplay and visual style for a tank-based auto-runner. The gameplay involves a tank that moves and fires automatically, with player input limited to directional shooting via swipe gestures. The prototype will feature a single short level, one enemy tank type, a boss encounter, basic visual effects, sound, and a third-person camera perspective. The goal is to deliver a polished, playable APK that effectively showcases the intended mechanics and feel, without additional menus or progression systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop a mobile game prototype in Unity or Unreal Engine for Android
• Implement auto-movement and auto-fire mechanics for the player-controlled tank
• Integrate swipe controls for directional shooting (left, right, forward)
• Design and implement a single 60-second level with one enemy tank type and a boss
• Add basic visual effects and sound to enhance gameplay experience
• Set up a third-person camera system
• Deliver a functional APK build suitable for gameplay testing
• Ensure the prototype is stable and visually coherent within the defined scope
  
  

Skills And Requirements

• Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine, with experience deploying to Android
• Strong understanding of mobile game development best practices
• Ability to implement responsive swipe controls and simple AI behaviors
• Experience with basic VFX and audio integration
• Familiarity with third-person camera setup in game engines
• Capable of rapid prototyping and working within tight project constraints
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver a polished, bug-free build
• Good communication skills and ability to interpret concise briefs
