Senior Back-End Developer

Job Description

For the Doğuş Publishing Group brands including NTV, NTV Spor, NTV Radio, Star TV, Kral TV, Kral Pop, Kral FM, Radio Eksen, Radio Voyage, and Puhu TV;

• Taking an active role in projects involving the development of web applications, API services, and back-office applications
• Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including technical analysis of enhancements and new features based on business needs, defining functional and technical requirements, contributing to architectural design, and being directly involved in the development process
• Analyzing change requests and new feature requirements for existing projects and implementing necessary developments; responding to new requests and updates
• Preparing unit tests and functional tests, and supporting software quality assurance and tracking processes
• Monitoring applications by using monitoring tools, tracking errors and logs, and supporting the continuity and reliability of services

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience (At least 2 years web related project experience)
• Strong analytical and demonstration skills to solve problems in creative ways
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work and contribute effectively in teams
• Supports and resolves programming problems and incidents, if necessary, provides on call or face to face support
• Working with partners to develop solutions.
• Responsible for coding, testing, and deployment of projects
• Does not need to discover world again for logging, caching etc. functions.
• Personal interest in digital media (Content management, digital publishing, advertisement, social media) and technological trends

Technical Requirements

• Strong Object-Oriented coding experience and knowledge of design patterns
• Experience in ASP.NET, C#, Restful Web APIs
• Experience and good understanding concept of distributed, dynamic and static cache
• Experience in some of the NoSQL technologies like: MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis
• Experience in web-based application & user interface implementation and development
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript technologies.
• Experience and good understanding of web client-side optimization methods.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, unit testing, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Experience in using source control systems like Git etc.
• Experience in project tracking applications like Jira etc.

Extra Desired Skills

• Experience in some of the JavaScript technologies like: ReactJS, Nextjs, Typescript, Tailwind
• Experience in some of the RDBMS technologies like: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL
• Experience in Dapper, Entity Framework or/and other ORM frameworks
