The Head of People & Culture at Telia Norway will play a pivotal role in developing and executing human resource strategies that support the company’s business objectives. As a key member of the leadership team and strategic HR business partner to the CEO the Head of P&C will lead initiatives to foster a high-performing, inclusive, and engaging work environment, including the ongoing, significant transformation of the business.

The Head of People and Culture reports to the CEO Norway Bjørn Ivar Moen and is also working and collaborating with the group HR function with a dotted line to our Group Chief People Officer – Maria Romberg Ewerth. In the group HR function, we have a center of excellence with specialists within HR such as comp & ben, talent, learning & development, people analytics and more.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of organizational leadership and foster a high-performance culture throughout the company. Bring energy, drive, and an action‑oriented approach to everything you do.
  • Act as a proactive culture carrier, supporting and modeling the desired values and behaviors that enhance our working environment.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize and simplify company operations, ensuring efficient and effective business processes. Utilize HR data and analytics in decision-making and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Support and advance the company’s transformation agenda by providing strategic HR guidance and championing change management efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders at all levels, challenging established ways of working and inspiring continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of essential group HR processes and core strategic HR initiatives within the Norwegian organization. Use HR data and analytics to support decision‑making, provide insights to senior leadership, and continuously improve how we work.
  • Drive the development of strong leadership and a high‑performance culture across the organization. Act as a visible and proactive culture carrier, role‑modeling our values and behaviors and helping to create a great place to work.
  • Partner closely with leaders at all levels as a trusted advisor—challenging established ways of working, encouraging fresh thinking, and inspiring continuous improvement. Support leaders with strategic HR guidance and play an active role in advancing the company’s transformation agenda, including leading and championing change initiatives.

What will help you thrive in this role:

  • Leadership experience from broad CHRO or Head of HR roles, or from senior HR leadership positions at business area, divisional, or country level.
  • Experience from a multinational or matrix organization is highly desirable.
  • Strong track record of leading organizational and cultural transformation, including challenging traditional mindsets and questioning the status quo to drive meaningful change. Demonstrated ability to take charge, step in when needed, and turn ambition into action.
  • Highly analytical and structured, with the ability to translate insight into impact.
  • You are proactive, action‑oriented, and motivated by achieving ambitious, stretched targets.
  • Known for your energy, drive, and passion for transformation, you bring momentum to complex initiatives and inspire others to move forward.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • You operate with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills, Norwegian language is an advantage.
