Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Our client within the Financial Service (FSI) sector is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong experience working on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• At least 4 years of working experience as a Cloud Engineer (DevOps), with expertise in Microsoft Azure;
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible;
• Experience in cloud and network monitoring (Azure monitor, Grafana, Log Analytics, PRTG, Dynatrace);
• Experience in Cloudflare DNS and Web Application Firewall;
• Familiar with scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash);
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving as well as operational support skills;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience in support Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 suite;
• Microsoft Azure certifications;
• Other relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, GIAC).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure and manage Azure cloud environments;
• Implement best practices for cloud architecture, security (including IAM, network security, and encryption), and cost optimization;
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code scripts and templates (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration;
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automating application deployments;
• Implement blue-green deployments and canary releases;
• Implement and monitor compliance standards and perform security assessments (like MAS TRM, PCI-DSS);
• Set up monitoring and logging solutions for cloud-based environments;
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues;
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and IT teams to align infrastructure needs;
• Document infrastructure configurations, IAC scripts, and deployment processes
