The Role
- Design and implement mission-critical software for real-time and near real-time applications using C/C++ and Java.
- Develop and optimize code within a Linux-based ecosystem, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software subsystems.
- Take full ownership of the software lifecycle, from translating complex operational requirements into code to executing rigorous unit tests and formal acceptance activity.
- Participate in structured code reviews and produce high-quality technical documentation for advanced integrated systems.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to solve complex engineering challenges involving networking, DSP, or GPU acceleration.
- A strong technical degree (minimum 2:1) in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related STEM discipline.
- Minimum 2.5 years of professional experience developing production-grade software in C++.
- Proven experience working within a Linux environment, with an understanding of low-level interfacing or real-time systems.
- Solid grounding in software engineering best practices, including unit testing and structured version control.
- UK National status with the absolute eligibility to undergo SC Security Clearance.
- Competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 based on experience.
