Your Role

As a Firmware Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing embedded firmware for AutoStore’s innovative systems. Working closely with product owners, R&D teams, and other departments, you’ll contribute to the enhancement of existing technologies and the development of cutting-edge solutions. Through the accelerator program, you’ll gain expertise across multiple areas of our business, supported by mentors and positioned for success in a fast-moving, technology-driven industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement firmware for real-time embedded robotics systems
  • Troubleshooting, testing, and debugging of embedded systems
  • Collaboration with electronics and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software
  • Participation in cross-disciplinary R&D projects for system improvement and new product development
  • Contributing to quality assurance and performance testing processes


Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Cybernetics/Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related field
  • Strong skills in Git, Embedded C/C++, and Python
  • Some knowledge about designing and developing reusable firmware libraries and modules is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Practical experience in mechanics and electronics is a plus
  • Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent language skills in English (Norwegian is a plus)


Location: Our office in Oslo or our Headquarters in Nedre Vats
