Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement complex solutions across our Upstream Planning portfolio. This role involves supporting technical decisions while ensuring adherence to best practices. The overall objective is to contribute to initiatives that enhance deliverable quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Upstream Planning solutions in an Agile environment.
• Support architectural standards, best practices, and reusable components across the application portfolio.
• Adoption of modern technologies and frameworks
• Support technical decisions, work with coding standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline the development process.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, identify risks, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with guidelines.
• And other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions
• Expertise in RESTful services, and object-oriented design patterns
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding in DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding in designing solutions for high availability, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies
• Strong knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
• Understanding of security protocols and encryption standards
• Strong knowledge of .NET
• Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity using AI coding tools
• Proficiency using Smalltalk
• Experience building AI/ML workloads or agentic systems
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks and agent architecture
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar extensibility patterns
• Proficient with front-end technologies, React, is a plus.
• Knowledge of upstream oil and gas domain
  
  

Additional Details

• Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
