Security Specialist

Position available for candidates based in La Plata, Bahía Blanca, CABA, Córdoba, Rosario, or Mendoza.

Security Specialists play a fundamental role in this process by ensuring our platforms and infrastructure are secure by design and aligned with best practices. As a bridge between infrastructure and development teams, they also enable secure collaboration and help protect our systems throughout the development lifecycle. In this role, you will focus on securing, hardening, and continuously improving our Kubernetes environments, which are key to the evolution of our platform.

Your Challenges And Objectives

• Strengthen the posture of Kubernetes-based environments by implementing and promoting secure-by-default patterns aligned with CIS/STIG/NIST standards.
• Drive vulnerability management efforts by identifying risks, prioritizing remediation, and guiding teams in addressing findings across Kubernetes and Linux systems.
• Design and integrate scalable solutions into infrastructure and workflows using tools like Terraform and YAML, ensuring consistency and auditability.
• Contribute to the team’s roadmap by identifying gaps, leading reviews, and acting as a reference for best practices across infrastructure, networking, and development.
  
  

Your Day-to-day Activities

• Follow best practices in a Kubernetes-based environment.
• Implement solutions on Kubernetes and related infrastructure.
• Lead reviews, drive remediation efforts, and provide guidance on secure-by-default patterns.
• Assist in defining the team roadmap, goals, and needs.
  
  

About You

• 2+ years of experience in security-related roles, with a focus on infrastructure or platform security.
• Strong experience securing Kubernetes and Linux environments, including hardening and applying best practices.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes; CKS certification is a plus.
• Experience implementing or auditing Kubernetes environments against security benchmarks (e.g., CIS, STIG, or NIST-aligned controls).
• Familiarity with vulnerability management processes and tools (e.g., Nessus, AWS Inspector).
• Experience working with AWS, particularly EKS, in production environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash) and experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and YAML-based configurations.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure fundamentals (networking, storage, systems) and development experience in languages such as Python or Golang.
