About the roleWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Core Platform team. This role requires hands-on, demonstrable experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the ability to independently deliver solutions into production. We value a platform mindset: producing clear documentation, tools, and experiences that enable other teams to deliver software faster and more reliably.

Responsabilities:GCP ownership

• Design, implement, and operate services on Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Application Load Balancer, Cloud IAP, Cloud NAT, Cloud Armor, and Cloud DNS.
• Manage the GCP organization: IAM, groups, projects, folders, and security policies.
• Maintain and evolve network architecture: VPCs, subnets, URL maps, path-based routing, and multi-domain SSL certificates.
  
  

CI/CD & pipelines

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and Cloud Build.
• Implement database migration pipelines decoupled from application deployments, with lock_timeout and statement_timeout controls.
• Ensure pipelines are reliable, observable, and easy for any engineer on the team to debug.
  
  

Observability & on-call

• Configure and maintain Datadog: metrics, logs, APM, dashboards, and alerts.
• Participate in on-call rotations (Incident.io) and contribute to continuous improvement of postmortems.
• Define SLIs and SLOs for critical platform services.
  
  

Security & compliance

• Manage Secret Manager, least-privilege IAM policies, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure and maintain Cloud Armor to protect public endpoints.
• Ensure all projects are properly organized in the GCP hierarchy (folders, labels, constraints).
  
  

Developer Experience & documentation

• Document key processes: deploys, DB migrations, Apigee, BFF, monitoring — aiming for any engineer to operate independently.
• Upload and maintain the inventory of repositories and services in GetDX.
• Serve as the infra technical point of contact for product verticals when they have questions about GCP or platform architecture.
  
  

Requirements:

• 5 + years working with Google Cloud Platform in production (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Load Balancer)
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Cloud Build
• Set up observability with Datadog: metrics, logs, APM, dashboards and alerting
• Managed GCP security & compliance: IAM, folders/groups, Secret Manager, vulnerability remediation
• Experience with Cloud Armor and OIDC for perimeter security
• Mentored engineers and collaborated cross-functionally to enable other teams
