We are seeking for a Storage & Virtualization Engineer to fill the position to join our team at a client’s facility in Paris, Île-de-France, France.

Overview:

Contribute to the management and improvement of IT infrastructure, focusing on virtualization and storage systems. The role involves maintaining infrastructure components, handling technical support, managing incidents, and participating in infrastructure evolution projects within an Agile environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain storage and virtualization infrastructure components (monitoring alerts, capacity planning, patch management, vulnerability management)
  • Process JIRA requests related to storage and virtualization (VMware vCenter, ESXi, LogInsight, vROPS)
  • Manage operational incidents related to storage and virtualization technologies
  • Provide level 3 technical support for storage technologies (EMC Datadomain, PureStorage, Brocade switches, IBM robotics)
  • Provide level 3 technical support for virtualization technologies (VMware vCenter, ESXi, LogInsight, vROPS, Veeam Backup)
  • Participate in infrastructure evolution projects (VMware upgrades, advanced vROPS implementation, storage and virtualization security, automation, backup tool redesign, Dell Networker implementation)
  • Support IT operations regionally and internationally
  • Integrate into Agile (Scrum) work processes
  • Collaborate in an English-speaking environment (vendor and manufacturer support)
  • Produce and maintain architecture and operations documentation


Mandatory skills:

  • Expertise in storage infrastructure (PureStorage, EMC)
  • Expertise in virtualization infrastructure (VMware ESXi, vCenter)
  • Experience with backup solutions (Networker, Veeam)
  • Incident and vulnerability management

Appreciated skills:

  • Experience with automation (Pure Storage, vROPS)
  • Knowledge of Brocade switches and IBM robotics
  • Advanced monitoring and capacity planning
  • Documentation best practices
  • Agile (Scrum) methodology
