Job Title: DevOps Lead

Location: Dublin (Onsite 2–3 days per week)

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Initial Term)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to drive platform engineering excellence and lead a high-performing team supporting enterprise API and integration services. This role requires a hands-on leader who can shape technical strategy, champion automation, and enable scalable, secure, and resilient platform solutions.

You will collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to modernize tooling, enhance developer workflows, and ensure operational reliability across the API ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of DevOps and Platform Engineers, fostering technical growth and delivery excellence.
  • Define and execute platform engineering initiatives aligned with product and enterprise integration objectives.
  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and source control best practices.
  • Champion automation-first governance by implementing quality controls, compliance checks, and release guardrails.
  • Establish and maintain development standards, reusable assets, and version-controlled artifacts across teams.
  • Oversee security integration within the DevOps lifecycle, including static, dynamic, and dependency scanning.
  • Strengthen observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering practices across platform services.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to prioritize technical improvements and balance innovation with operational stability.
  • Support continuous improvement of developer tooling, frameworks, and integration testing practices.
  • Coordinate production support readiness, including on-call structures aligned to release cycles.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and enterprise-level transformation programs.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading DevOps or Platform Engineering teams in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD design and automation using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Experience managing and optimizing source code management platforms (e.g., Git-based enterprise solutions).
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices including SAST, DAST, and software composition analysis tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms (e.g., APM and log aggregation tools).
  • Solid experience implementing infrastructure-as-code and environment provisioning strategies.
  • Strong grasp of API platforms and integration ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with governance automation, quality gates, and release management best practices.
  • Experience supporting Java/Spring-based services and enterprise integration frameworks such as MuleSoft.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and building high-performing technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in enterprise-scale API enablement or digital transformation programs.
  • Exposure to cloud-native environments and hybrid infrastructure models.
  • Experience enhancing developer experience through internal platform tooling and self-service capabilities.
