Position Title

Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

Objective

Design and implement a high-performance core exchange engine, focusing on order matching, clearing, and settlement for a multi-tenant B2B platform operating under high concurrency and low latency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop core exchange features: order matching, in-memory order books, and automated settlement.
• Build high-performance REST and gRPC APIs for web, mobile, B2B partners, and market makers.
• Optimize PostgreSQL and Redis for low-latency operations ($< 50$ms p99).
• Implement real-time data pipelines (Kafka or similar) for market events and liquidity.
• Collaborate with Quant teams to translate probabilistic models into pricing engines.
• Ensure financial integrity by protecting against race conditions and double-spending.
• Instrument services with metrics, distributed tracing, and alerts for rapid diagnosis.
• Maintain rigorous test coverage (unit, integration, load) and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

Mandatory

• 8+ years of experience in backend development.
• 6+ years of solid experience with Go (Golang).
• Deep knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record with low-latency and high-concurrency systems.
• English Fluency (Primary working language).
• Remote Setup: You must possess all necessary equipment (laptop, stable internet, etc.) to perform your duties remotely, as the company does not provide hardware at this time.

Desired (Nice to Have)

• Experience in financial exchanges, sports betting platforms, or High-Frequency Trading (HFT).
• Knowledge of order book systems, market making, or automated settlement.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.
• Familiarity with iGaming regulatory compliance (AML, KYC, geolocation).
