Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer with leadership and mentorship skills to join one of our Nearshore teams working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands and other European locations. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing Android applications while guiding and supporting team members to ensure technical excellence.

You can choose whether you want to work fully remotely or from our offices in Lisbon or Porto.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native Android applications;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features;
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness through best practices and code excellence;
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and support team growth;
• Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;
• Conduct code reviews, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.

What you are like:

• Proficient in native Android development using Kotlin (and/or Java);
• Skilled in modern Android frameworks, tools, and design patterns (e.g., MVVM, Jetpack, Coroutines);
• Experienced in CI/CD, testing frameworks, and mobile development best practices;
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles;
• Comfortable leading technical discussions, mentoring colleagues, and guiding a development team;
• Good communication skills in English, as you will colaborate daily with international teams.
