About the Role
A leading international financial institution is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join its Group Cyber Program team in Portugal. This role is part of a global cybersecurity transformation initiative focused on strengthening IT risk management, cybersecurity posture, and operational resilience across multiple international entities.
You will work within a highly collaborative and international environment, contributing to the deployment and evaluation of cybersecurity frameworks and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage cybersecurity maturity assessment processes across multiple entities
- Support stakeholders in understanding cybersecurity requirements and required evidence
- Evaluate submitted evidence to ensure compliance with cybersecurity and IT risk frameworks
- Ensure consistency and coherence across assessments performed globally
- Communicate updates, changes, and requirements to impacted entities
- Act as a conection between central IT providers and local entities
- Prepare and document assessment results for governance and reporting purposes
- Contribute to internal initiatives to improve the Cyber Program and its evaluation processes
Main Outcomes
- Contribute to a strategic and high-visibility cybersecurity transformation program
- Gain exposure to a broad range of cybersecurity and IT risk domains
- Build strong collaboration with international teams and cybersecurity experts
- Develop expertise that supports career progression into roles such as CISO, Program Manager, or Cybersecurity Specialist
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Knowledge:
- 1-3 Years of solid understanding of IT security and IT risk management
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST or equivalent)
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Cloud and container security (runtime hardening, image management, etc.)
- IT continuity and backup management (including DORA requirements)
- Cryptography (key and certificate management, CKMS)
- Network security (segmentation, architecture hardening)
General Requirements:
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance environments in IT/security
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment
Languages
- English: B2 minimum (mandatory)
- French: Nice to have
