IT Operations Lead – Retail Support (m/f)

For an international corporation operating in the retail sector, we are looking for an IT Operations Lead (m/f). The role involves hands-on 1st and 2nd level IT support for retail units and maintenance of business systems, so willingness to work on-site is essential. The position includes coordination of external service providers, collaboration with the central IT department, and interaction with the company’s international IT network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement the local IT strategy in line with group guidelines
• Support and maintain business systems (POS – Maop/TCPOS, SAP ERP, PowerBI/QlikSense)
• Provide 1st and 2nd level operational IT support and coordinate external service providers
• Ensure the proper functioning of POS equipment and IT infrastructure in retail units (cash registers, terminals, computers, mobile devices)
• Lead and participate in local and global IT projects (upgrades, migrations, implementations)
• Onboard users, prepare training materials, and deliver user trainings
• Support key business processes (inventory, financial cycles, reporting)
• Prepare and maintain technical and process documentation
• Ensure local IT solutions comply with legal requirements
• Collaborate with the central IT department and the international IT network

Requirements:

• VI level education (Computer Science Engineer or related technical field)
• Experience in IT is desirable, including leading IT projects in an international environment and managing external service providers
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and POS systems (Maop/TCPOS – advantage)
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools (PowerBI, QlikSense)
• Good understanding of retail processes (sales, inventory, stock-taking)
• Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and networks, advanced MS Office skills
• Fluent in Slovenian and English, good command of Croatian
• Developed leadership and organizational skills, analytical and pragmatic approach, excellent communication skills
• High degree of independence, responsibility, adaptability, and result-orientation
• Willingness to work on-site and occasional business trips
