Network Engineer

Position : Network Engineer

Location: Madrid, Spanish (Hybrid)

Work Mode: 60% on‑site, 40% remote

Duration: Permanent/ Freelance

Must‑Have Skills

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, datacenters, and network equipment.
• Practical skills in:
• Switch configuration
• Network routing & segmentation
• Firewalls & network security
• Load balancing & high‑availability architectures
• Solid Linux administration (shell scripting, system monitoring, service management, network configuration).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V, etc.).
• Ability to define system requirements and design high‑level IT/network architectures.
• Experience preparing implementation, integration, and test plans.
• Ability to oversee subcontractors (documentation review, validation, risk escalation).

Behavioural / Functional

• Strong integration & troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.

Languages

• Spanish
• English B2 (fluent written & spoken)

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Understanding of satellite communications, ground segment systems, or space‑related networking.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (public/private), orchestration, and resource management.
• Additional European languages.
• Experience in complex multi‑orbit or telecom infrastructures.
