Specialist - UI/UX

Job Description

Do you enjoy designing digital experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and user-focused? Dubai Media is looking for a UI/UX Specialist who is passionate about creating seamless digital journeys and enhancing how audiences interact with our platforms.

In this role, you will contribute to the design and user experience of Dubai Media’s digital platforms, including websites, mobile applications, and digital products. You will focus on delivering visually compelling, accessible, and user-friendly experiences that align with business and content objectives.

You will collaborate closely with product, editorial, marketing, and technology teams to translate user needs into effective design solutions. From research and wireframes to prototypes and final interfaces, you will support the full design process while working closely with developers and having a solid understanding of how designs are implemented technically.

What you’ll do:

• Design and enhance user interfaces and digital experiences across Dubai Media platforms
• Conduct user research to understand audience needs, behaviors, and motivations
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to visualize and test concepts
• Ensure digital products are accessible and aligned with usability and accessibility best practices
• Contribute to design guidelines and UX standards to maintain consistency across platforms
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation
• Apply an iterative design approach, refining solutions based on feedback, analytics, and user testing
• Support content consistency by aligning with messaging and content guidelines across digital touchpoints
• Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, tools, and emerging technologies
  
  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a UAE National (Emirati)
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably within digital media, technology, or content platforms
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, and accessibility standards
• Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using modern design tools
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of front-end technologies (such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and an understanding of how designs translate into code
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams and understand technical constraints
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiarity with agile design and development environments is an advantage
