Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager - MHS to lead a project in our Doha, Qatar operations. In this role, you will oversee complex projects from conception through implementation, managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and timelines while ensuring optimal performance and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, analytical thinking, and a proven track record of delivering material handling solutions on time and within budget.
  • Direct end-to-end project management for material handling systems implementations, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; track progress against established baselines and adjust as needed
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external vendors, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular status updates and addressing concerns with professionalism and clarity
  • Oversee vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Analyze material handling processes and systems to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including scope statements, requirements, specifications, and lessons learned reports
  • Monitor project budgets and resource allocation; manage change requests and cost controls to prevent overruns
  • Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and organizational policies
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement

Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years managing material handling systems or logistics operations projects
  • Proven expertise in material handling systems, warehouse automation, and supply chain operations
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (PMP certification preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms)
  • Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and resources effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD software and technical documentation is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in process improvement and optimization techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to regional business practices
