Job description:
Job duties/accountabilities
User Research & Analysis
- Conducting interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
- Creating user personas and journey maps.
- Understanding user behavior through data and insights.
Wireframing & Prototyping
- Developing wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Testing and iterating designs based on user feedback.
Interaction Design
- Designing intuitive navigation flows, layouts, and user interfaces.
- Ensuring designs are responsive and accessible across devices.
Information Architecture
- Structuring content and features to optimize usability.
- Creating sitemaps and organizing complex information logically.
Visual Design Principles
- Understanding typography, color theory, spacing, and layout.
- Creating aesthetically pleasing and functional designs.
Collaboration & Communication
- Working closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Clearly articulating design decisions and rationale.
Problem-Solving Mindset
- Addressing user pain points with innovative solutions.
- Prioritizing user needs while aligning with business goals.
Basic Understanding of Front-End Development
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure feasibility of designs.
- Collaborating effectively with developers for implementation.
