Senior Full Stack Mobile Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Mobile Engineer with Ruby on Rails and React for a full-time remote position (40 hours per week) in Colombia. Our client is a growth-stage SaaS company reimagining how members engage and learn within modern communities of practice. The platform fosters member engagement with both content and human connections, aiming to create vibrant community experiences that deliver greater value and support organizational growth.

Requirements

Strong experience with Ruby on Rails.
In-depth understanding of development with React and React Native in an iOS and Android environment.
Experience integrating Rails APIs with mobile clients.
Knowledge of testing frameworks like RSpec, Jasmine/Jest.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
Understanding of Git/GitHub, CI tools.
Experience with iOS and Android deployment for App Store and Google Play submission, provisioning profiles, and code signing.
Solid background in software design patterns.
Expertise in developing push notifications.
Familiarity with mobile navigation patterns and deep linking
Understanding of creating responsive UI across web and mobile devices
The ability to be confident collaborating with other engineers in a pair-programming development model.
Understanding Agile methodologies and processes.
Practical communication skills in collaborative and feedback-driven environments.
Strong problem-solving and ownership mentality.

Nice To Have

Experience with Fastlane.
Experience refactoring from Angular to React
Experience working in Test Driven Development in a Pair Programming model.
Familiarity with mobile performance profiling tools such as Flipper, React
Familiarity with mobile accessibility.
Familiarity with techniques to effectively work with legacy code.

Responsibilities

Work on delivering high-value products and experiences while also contributing to development standards and collaborative practices.
Extending and enhancing the mobile application built on React Native for iOS and Android, working alongside the Rails API back-end and web front-end to deliver a seamless cross-platform experience.
