Position Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Print Project Manager to join our luxury retail client for the next 6+ months. This is a full-time contract with a hybrid model, working 3 days/week in their downtown office. You'll be the driving force behind the seamless execution of our client's magazine publication cycle. You’ll manage timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee all aspects of their magazine production, from initial concept to final delivery. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of print production, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation for each magazine issue.
  • Set deadlines for content creation, design, proofing, and printing to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with editorial, design, marketing, and sales teams to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the submission, editing, and approval process for all editorial and visual content.
  • Ensure the design team meets layout specifications and adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Monitor the pre-press process, including proof reviews, color accuracy, and file preparation.
  • Track expenses throughout the production cycle, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality before publication.
  • Implement feedback and revisions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Anticipate potential project delays or roadblocks and develop contingency plans.
  • Resolve conflicts and ensure alignment among teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing the full production cycle of a print magazine or similar publication.
  • Strong knowledge of print production processes, including pre-press, printing, and distribution.
  • Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in tools such as Monday.com, Box.com, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working with editorial, design, and vendor teams.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with publishing software like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Communications, Publishing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Passion for the luxury, retail, and/or fashion space.
