We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join CCH Tagetik, part of Wolters Kluwer's Corporate Performance & ESG Division, and take a pivotal role in shaping how agility is practiced across our product development teams.
At CCH Tagetik, agile is not a methodology we follow, it is a shared value that shapes how we think, collaborate, and deliver. Our teams embrace tools and practices not as processes to comply with, but as means to achieve better outcomes: faster feedback, clearer priorities, stronger collaboration, and products that genuinely serve our customers.
The culture is there. What we need is someone who can help it thrive, bringing the expertise, the discipline, and the judgment to make agility work exceptionally well in a complex, fast-moving product environment.
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be at the center of our product development operations. Your actions will have direct impact on multiple teams, product owners, stakeholders, management, and the product itself. You will operate with full
autonomy, reading each team's context and maturity to decide how and when to intervene by coaching, facilitating, challenging, or stepping back, as the moment requires.
What You'll Do:
To maintain a fair and genuine hiring process, we kindly ask that all candidates participate in interviews without the assistance of AI tools or external prompts. Our interview process is designed to assess your individual skills, experiences, and communication style. We value authenticity and want to ensure we’re getting to know you—not a digital assistant. To help maintain this integrity, we ask to remove virtual backgrounds and include in-person interviews in our hiring process. Please note that use of AI-generated responses or third-party support during interviews will be grounds for disqualification from the recruitment process.
Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.

What You'll Do:
- Own the Scrum/Kanban practice across multiple teams: facilitate meetings, remove impediments, resolve conflicts.
- Keep processes transparent, lean, and efficient.
- Maintain high focus on team metrics.
- Coach teams on Agile values and help them improve how they work, not just what they deliver.
- Define and track meaningful KPIs that give teams and stakeholders a clear, honest picture of progress.
- Identify friction across teams and the broader organization, and take initiative to address it.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with engineering teams, product owners, and leadership.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Scrum Master on real products, with real users and real stakeholders, including the hard moments: missed goals, conflicting priorities, difficult conversations.
- Deep understanding of Scrum and Kanban, with the ability to apply analytical thinking to team dynamics and workflow optimization.
- A natural leader who operates with high autonomy: self-directed, self-managed, and accountable without needing external pressure.
- Strong intrinsic motivation and a relentless drive to learn, experiment, and share what you observe.
- Exceptional attention to detail: in process, in communication, in the data you use to coach.
- Outstanding communication skills: clear, direct, and able to adapt your message to engineers, product owners, and senior stakeholders alike.
- A track record of influencing without authority and being the kind of person teams genuinely look to for direction.
- Proficiency in both Italian and English.
- Flexible working hours where you can start between 8:00 and 10:00 and flexible working policy (3 days a week from home, 2 days a week in the office).
- Modern office in an old coffee factory where you can work together in teams but also connect with your colleagues. Just outside the walls of Lucca and close to the train station.
- English classes and full access to E-learning platforms such as Pluralsight, LinkedIn Learning and Udemy.
- Possibility of certification paths.
- Development plans to help you steering your career path. Annual performance and salary reviews.
- Community and teambuilding events like the global code games, network events and Wolters Kluwer value days.
